Space & Time strengthens leadership team by appointing Chris Jones as managing director

Chris Jones will oversee the newly-launched strategic proposition to ensure deeper client partnerships

Independent agency Space & Time has taken the next step in its business strategy by promoting managing partner Chris Jones to managing director.

Sandy Gil, the previous managing director, has become chief operating officer, while the agency’s founder Peter Jones continues as chairman. The changes take place with immediate effect.

As managing director, Jones will be responsible for driving the business forward both strategically and commercially. He will also lead the roll-out of the agency’s new positioning as well as champion its corporate profile. Jones will be supported by a newly-formed executive team that has worked alongside him for several years. He had previously built and run Space & Time’s media business in London before being appointed as managing partner in 2018.

The changes to the leadership team are designed to elevate the agency’s new proposition, which has been developed by Jones and the wider team in response to an ever-changing media landscape. With a new offering centered around four distinct business divisions of media, technology, performance creative and training, Space & Time acts as a growth marketing partner to clients. To do this, the agency is pioneering the Full Experienceä engagement model, which allows clients to flex between fully managed, hybrid or in-house models, tailored to their strategic objectives.
