Apple has pinched former Engine chief Jim Moffat for a senior role at the tech giant. Moffat has been heading up Europe and APAC for the indie agency since 2018 and was involved in creating the three pillars of the integrated business – including creative, communications and transformation.
Coca-Cola has appointed Louise Maugest to the role of frontline activation marketing director in the UK. Maugest replaces Kris Robbens, who has been promoted to the role of senior director of brand strategy and will be responsible for launching new products across the company’s soft drinks portfolio.
Havas Media Group has announced the appointment of Meghan Grant as chief strategy officer of Havas Media Group North America. Grant joins Havas Media Group after other recent leadership appointments across North America spanning operations, commercial, investment, data and technology.
TBWA\India announced Satish Krishnamurthy has been named chief strategy officer, with immediate effect. Krishnamurthy steps into the role previously held by Subramanian Krishnan, who is taking on a part-time consulting role with the agency.
Independent creative agency, AML Group, has today announced the appointment of Hugo Bone to the role of creative director. Bone joins from The Gate where, as creative director, he produced notable campaigns for the likes of Chiltern Railway, the Electoral Commission and Lives Not Knives.
R/GA has named Tania Secor as its global chief financial officer. As global financial chief, Secor will oversee the global finance function for R/GA with a responsibility to support and build out programs that ensure financial strength as well as drive revenue and profit for the company.
72andSunny has appointed Anthony Campagna and Jari Kennedy as creative leads for Sydney. They join the four-year-old creative business having worked at top Aussie creative companies including The Monkeys, DDB, Host/Havas and Present Company, developing work for Beats By Dre, NBA, Snapchat, Oak Milk and The Heart Foundation.
Comcast Advertising has revealed the appointment of Rick Mandler as vice president, growth strategy, reporting to Pooja Midha, who joined the organization last month as chief growth officer. Rick is an industry veteran who hails from Disney/ABC and, in his most recent role, worked with Pooja for three years at advertising technology company true[X].
Mediacorp has named editor-in-chief, Walter Fernandez, as chief sustainability officer in a concurrent appointment that signals its long-term commitment to sustainability. A part of Mediacorp’s senior management team since 2013, Fernandez oversees the news and current affairs operations of Mediacorp, shaping editorial strategy, policies and content. Under his leadership, CNA was named Channel of the Year by the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) in 2020.
The Ad Council, America’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to using the power of communications to drive social change, elected 27 new members to its board of directors during its virtual spring meeting. The organization’s board is chaired by Linda Yaccarino, chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal. Vice-chairs include Jacki Kelley, chief of Dentsu Americas, and Diego Scotti, chief marketing officer at Verizon.
Tech and digital community, BIMA, has the appointment of Matt Sullivan to the position of managing director. Sullivan is replacing outgoing director Holly Hall, and will manage the BIMA team, as well as oversee the organisation’s programmes and events, such as Digital Day and Springboard, and award programmes, including BIMA10 and BIMA100, among others.
MSQ has appointed James Cannings its first chief sustainability officer as it reveals plans to reduce overall carbon emissions per employee by more than 50% by 2024. Cannings is the co-founder of MMT Digital, MSQ’s web and digital product development business. He is also the co-chair of BIMA’s Sustainability Council, where he is responsible for championing sustainability in the digital sector and building a framework to enable all BIMA members to take action.
